New market study, "Mexico Infrastructure Report Q3 2011", has been published

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 27, 2011 – BMI View: Planned public investment in roads and water infrastructure will drive Mexico's infrastructure industry value in 2011. Examining the pipeline of planned projects we note that roads will continue to dominate the country's infrastructure sector in the coming years. Local and international utilities will also find several opportunities to enter Mexico's water sector, now that Conagua is keen to implement the Atotonilco public private partnership (PPP) model to expand and renew water infrastructure throughout the country. The revival in overall construction activity over the second half of 2010 continued into Q111, prompting an above-consensus forecast for construction industry value growth.

* The government's National Infrastructure Plan (NIP) has lost all momentum, as it failed to recover from the 2008/2009 financial crisis. Flagship PPP transport projects have gone to tender and failed. Examples include the FARAC II Pacific garbage compactor review o Sur toll road and the Riviera Maya Airport package.  * The first quarter of 2011 saw increased activity in Mexico's construction sector, which reinforces our outlook for the year. We anticipate that the sector will rebound strongly in 2011 in light of the fact that the number of planned infrastructure investments has risen by 11% compared to 2010. We have revised down our growth forecasts for the construction sector for 2011 to bring it in line with the results from the first quarter.  * Over the final months of 2010 the wind power sector saw a plethora of investment pledges for large scale capacity projects. Spanish Gamesa and Eolia Renovables de Inversiones made the largest investment pledges, with plans announced in December 2010 for the development of wind farms with combined capacity of 324MW over 2011 and 2013.

Dyna-Graphics’ New Folex Film for PCBs Provides Explosion & ESD Protection

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 25, 2011 – Dyna-Graphics Corporation has begun integrating Folex GO-MA/2K ESD film in their graphic overlays for PCB membrane switches to provide protection against ESD and explosions.

Chaska, Minnesota-based Dyna-Graphics is an award-winning manufacturer of membrane switch panels, touch screen terminals, graphic overlays, and many other similar products. Their products are used in the agricultural, medical, and scientific industries, as well as many other applications. The inclusion of the new Folex film into their products is another of the technological innovations that have made the company an industry leader.

Folex GO-MA/2K ESD film is an "interesting new material we found in Europe that's not available in the United St garbage compactor review ates [market] yet," said Ed Wulff, Vice President of Dyna-Graphics. "It has an embedded conductive surface," Wulff added, that makes it an ideal, explosion and ESD preventing safety measure in highly static- or electrically-conductive environments.

This new graphic overlay film contains rugged conductive particles in its decorative layer which dissipate static and electrical charges, including those c rc helicopt manual trash compactor er market place reated by the human body, at surface resistances between 10(6) and 10(9) ohms, without causing any spark discharge.

In addition to preventing electrostatic discharges that can damage electronic equipment and potentially dangerous explosions, Dyna-Graphics' Folex film graphic overlays also help counteract surface contamination caused by statically-attracted dust particles. The conductive particles in the graphic overlay film are visually inconspicuous.

Dyna-Graphics has used Folex GO-MA/2K ESD film to create thin explosion- and ESD-protection surfaces with high mechanical and chemical resistance that can be easily printed on to include company logos, legends, and the like. This process previously required the use of conductor pastes, which was ultimately a costly and complex process. Using Folex film trash bins allows Dyna-Graphics to create essentially the same—but in many ways superior—products for their customers faster, and at lower cost.

New market study, "Bolivia Oil & Gas Report Q3 2011", has been published

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 22, 2011 – The new Bolivia Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 0.71% of Latin  American regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 0.48% of supply. Latin American regional use  averaged an estimated 7.88mn barrels per day (b/d) in 2010. It should rise to 8.07mn b/d in 2011 and  reach 8.69mn b/d by 2015. Regional oil production averaged an estimated 10.03mn b/d in 2010 and is set  to rise to 11.66mn b/d by 2015. Oil exports have been slipping, because demand growth has exceeded the  pace of supply expansion. In 2001, the region exported an average of 3.46mn b/d. This total fell to an  estimated 2.15mn b/d in 2010 manual trash compactor , but is forecast to rebound to 2.97mn b/d in 2015. The principal exporters  will be Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil.  The region consumed an estimated 209bn cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas in 2010, with demand of  264bcm targeted for 2015. Production of an estimated 221bcm in 2010 should reach 273bcm in 2015,  implying more than 8bcm of net exports at the end of the period. Bolivia's share of gas consumption was  an estimated 1.29% in 2010, while its share of production was 5.98%. By 2015, its share of gas  consumption is forecast to be 1.24%, with the country accounting for 6.96% of supply.  The 2010 full-year outturn was US$77.45/bbl for OPEC crude, which delivered an average for North Sea  Brent of US$80.34/bbl and for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) of US$79.61/bbl. The BMI price target of  US$77 was reached thanks to the early onset of particularly cold weather, which drove up demand for and  the price of heating oil during the closing weeks of the year.  We set our 2011 supply, demand and price forecasts in early January, targeting global oil demand growth  of 1.53% and supply growth of 1.91%. With OECD inventories at the top of their five-year average range,  we set a price forecast of US$80/bbl average for the OPEC basket in 2011. The unprecedented wave of  popular uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) that followed the removal of Tunisian  President Ben Ali on January 14 has obviously fundamentally altered our outlook, particularly since the  unrest spread to Libya in mid-February.  Taking into account the risk premium that has been added to crude prices in response to actual and  perceived threats to supply, we have now raised our benchmark OPEC basket price forecast from US$80  to US$90/bbl for 2011 and from US$85 to US$95/bbl for 2012. Based on our expectations for  differentials, this gives a forecast for Brent at US$94/bbl in 2011 and US$99/bbl in 2012. We have kept  our long-term price assumption of US$90/bbl (OPEC bas helicop ter technology ket) in place for the time being while we wait to  see what path events in the MENA region take. We have also retained our existing supply and demand  forecasts until the scheduled quarterly revision at the start of April.    BMI calculates Bolivian real GDP growth of 3.4% in 2010, with a 3.4% average annual increase also  forec Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi ast for 2010-2015. There is increased state control of oil and gas operations, thanks to government  policy supportive of re-nationalisation. This means the burden of development falls heavily on stateowned  Yacimientos PetrolÌferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) and its few remaining international oil  company (IOC) partners. We are assuming oil and gas liquids production of no more than 56,000b/d by  2015, with the country expected to pump 57,000b/d in 2011. Consumption beyond 2010 is forecast to  increase by around 2-3% per annum to 2015, implying demand of 62,000b/d by the end of the forecast  period.    Between 2010 and 2020, we forecast a decrease in Bolivian oil production of 8.9%, with crude volumes  peaking in 2012 at 60,000b/d before falling steadily to 51,000b/d by the end of the forecast period. Oil  consumption between 2010 and 2020 is set to increase by 26.8%, with growth slowing to an assumed 2%  per annum towards the end of the period and the country using 69,000b/d by 2020. Gas production is  expected to rise steadily, from an estimated 13.2bcm in 2010 to 22.0bcm by 2020. With demand growth  of 48%, this implies that export potential will rise from an estimated 10.5bcm in 2010 to 18.0bcm by  2020. Details of BMI's 10-year forecasts can be found in the appendix to this report.    A composite Business Environment Rating (BER) of just 38 (out of 100) ranks Bolivia ninth out of 10  countries in BMI's Latin America universe, reflecting low ratings for both the upstream and downstream  business segments. Bolivia takes eighth place in BMI's upstre trash bins am ratings, 12 points ahead of Chile and  Mexico, and three points behind Ecuador. Its proven gas resources and gas reserves-to-production ratio  (RPR) work in the country's favour, but are undermined by the state's greater control of assets,  deteriorating licensing regime and generally unappealing risk environment. The country is at the foot of  the league table in BMI's updated downstream ratings, reflecting its state-controlled refining and  marketing segment, modest capacity and less competitive environment, offset by a relatively low level of  retail site intensity and the country's gas self-sufficiency. Venezuela is immediately ahead of Bolivia in  the regional rankings, but the seven-point gap is unlikely to be bridged in the near future. About Business Monitor International

"India Power Report Q3 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 17, 2011 – The new India Power Report from BMI forecasts that the country's power consumption is expected to rise from 685TWh in 2010 to 1,327TWh by the end of the forecast period, representing average annual growth of 6.8% in 2011-2020. After power industry usage and system losses, we see a surplus supply rising from the estimated 198TWh level seen in 2010 to 343TWh by 2020, assuming 6.6% average annual growth in power generation during the period.

Indian power generation in 2010 is put by BMI at 883TWh, having risen 6.6% from the 2009 level. BMI is forecasting an average 6.4% annual increase to 1,203TWh between 2011 and 2015. Thermal generation, comprising coal, gas and oil, is expected to grow by 5.6% per annum during the period to 2015, but growth looks set to accelerate later in the decade.

--------------------------------------------------- ---------Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/206782_india_power_report_q3_ ... ------------------------------------------------------------

We expect gas-fired power generation to climb 16.7% per annum between 2011 and 2015, with an average annual growth rate of 16.1% forecast to 2020. Gas-fired generation should therefore reach 169TWh by 2015 and almost 347TWh by 2020. The share of total Indian power generation should therefore increase from 8.8% to 14.0% by 2015, rising to 20.8% by 2020. Coal-fired generation will have accounted for 69.3% of the country's total generation in 2010, accordi helicop ter technology ng to BMI estimates. We expect the fuel's market share to be 61.3% by 2015, firing a projected 737TWh. By 2020, coal's share of generation is forecast at 52.8%, representing 881TWh.

India is also actively promoting nuclear power as a clean and efficient source of electricity generation. Although it makes up only a small fraction of India's current installed generating capacity, many of the major developments taking place in the Indian electricity sector recently involve nuclear power. Independent sources forecast that India will add up to 11GW of new nuclear energy capacity by 2020. BMI estimates that 2010 nuclear power generation was 18TWh, and is set to rise sharply to 53TWh by 2015. The share of generation is forecast to rise from 2.0% to 4.4% by 2015, then reach 6.8% by 2020.

India is ranked equal fourth alongside Vietnam in BMI's updated Power Business Environment Ratings, due to its vast market size and excellent growth prospects. The gap between India and China (in third place) is five points. While China is expected eventually to pull away and challenge Australia at the top of the table, India may be able to catch Japan (second place) during the next several quarters. Country risk factors offset some of the industry's strength, but the country seems destined over the longer term to shadow China near the top of the table.

Trio of BBC Show Productions Now Using Trio Plus Floor Protection Products on Location

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 15, 2011 – When you settle down to watch one of your favourite shows this autumn, spare a thought for the cast and crew who have spent hours on location to get a shot just right. With on location scenes critical to plot development, three separate BBC production teams have turned to Trio Plus to help protect valuable floors at a number of locations set for starring roles in three shows.

Casualty, Waterloo Road and the new TV adaption of Great Expectations have all been shooting away from the BBC studios at a number of locations. In order to protect the floors at these properties from damage caused by heavy foot tra rc helicopter market place ffic, dirt, mud and spillages, the BBC production teams choose Trio Plus premier hard floor protection fleece, carpet protection film and regular hard floor protection products during filming.

The cast and crew of hospital drama Casualty are no stranger to location shooting. For an upcoming episode, one of their filming locations boasted valuable hard floors that needed to be protected during the shoot. The produ trash bins ction team used Trio Plus Premium Hard Floor Protection. The felt topside is backed by a white anti-abrasive non-woven layer, which prevents fluids or dirt from penetrating through to the underlying wood. The eco-friendly self adhesive makes the fleece easy to fix into place. It can be swept clean while in use and then taken up and stored for re-use at a later date.

The new TV adaption of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, which is due to air in three parts on BBC1 at Christmas, had a similar problem during location shoots. For the project, C.H. Briggs commissioned Atlanta artists to utilize Corian and concept a design that reveals what Atlanta means to them. Minor crafted his design from his experience moving to the city as a young creative and its likening to the germination of a seed. Blue and white LED lights were used to simulate roots and leaves, which are a metaphor for growth and opportunity.

Atlanta Kitchen received sheets of DuPont Corian and set to work fabricating the material according to minors design. Corian is a durable and flexible solid surface material that is suitable for many design applications.

New market study, "Vietnam Power Report Q3 2011", has been published

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 14, 2011 – According to BMI's new extended power forecasts, Vietnam's power generation and consumption are both expected to rise sharply in the coming Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi years owning to significant economic and demographic growth. BMI now forecasts power consumption in Vietnam to increase from an estimated 84.56TWh in 2010 to 133.36TWh in 2015, while rc helicopter market place electricity supply will increase from an estimated 91.81TWh to 139.66TWh over the same period. There is, however, a real risk of persistent electricity shortages if the power industry cannot deliver adequate new capacity as demand soars.

The country's draft Master Plan VII for 2010-2020 estimates that an additional capacity of 4,100MW will be required per year on average during the 2011-2015 time period to meet rapidly growing demand in Vietnam. In line with it, the government and its state-owned monopoly Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) have presented ambitious plans to construct numerous thermal, hydro and even nuclear power plants in the coming years. Vietnam's power generation system relies mainly on thermal power and hydropower, and according to our forecasts these two resources will play an increasingly important role in the medium to long term.

----------------------------------------------------- -------Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/206850_vietnam_power_report_q ... ------------------------------------------------------------

Yet, so far, the country has showed a limited ability manual trash compactor to attract foreign investment in order to fund improvements to its power infrastructure, especially due to artificially capped prices. Furthermore, we highlight that Vietnam should devote more attention and funding to its electricity transmission and distribution network, as the country is already suffering from high levels of electricity wastages due to an inefficient grid system. From this perspective, BMI b helicop ter technology elieves that the hike in electricity prices approved in March 2011 by the Vietnamese government was a step in the right direction.

On top of the policy changes affecting pricing, key themes for Vietnam's power sector this quarter include:

* In March 2011, the Vietnamese government authorised an increase in electricity prices with a view to mobilise long-term investment and meet the country's burgeoning power demands. In April 2011, it also approved a market-based system, allowing electricity prices to be adjusted when the cost of basic inputs - energy and commodities - rises beyond the current parameters used to determine electricity prices. Depending on market conditions, electricity prices can be adjusted as often as once every quarter. The policy will take effect at the start of June 2011.  * In May 2011, Vietnamese oil and gas company Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and coal producer and supplier Vietnam National Coal and Minerals Industry Group (Vinacomin) announced that EVN owes both companies a combined total of VND6.6trn (US$320mn). BMI believes that these debts reinforce the need for ongoing reforms in Vietnam's electricity sector.  * In February 2011, Japan's TEPCO concluded a trustee agreement with Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to produce a master plan for a power supply project in Vietnam. This involvement by TEPCO is a positive move as BMI believes that a highly efficient transmission grid is crucial in ensuring that Vietnam's power plant projects are able to effectively address the country's electricity shortages. Yet, we note that these developments might be delayed or, cancelled altogether, due to TECO's difficulties following the accident at the Fukushima power plant.

Valley Business Center Earns EPA’s ENERGY STAR Certification For Energy Efficiency

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 11, 2011 – The Valley Business Center, owned/managed by Nu-Tech Systems, has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) ENERGY STAR certification, which signifies that the building performs in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency and meets strict energy efficiency performance levels set by the EPA.

The Valley Business Center was the only recipient in the Warehouse (Unrefrigerated) category in Colorado Springs and is 1 of only 3 to earn the certification in Colorado.

"Nu-Tech Systems is pleased to accept EPA's ENERGY STAR certification in recognition of our energy efficiency efforts," said Scott Crawford, President. "Through this achievement, we have demonstrated our commitment to environmental stewardship while also lowering our energy costs," Crawford said.

Commercial buildings that earn EPA's ENERGY STAR certification use an average of 35 percent less energy than typical buildings and also release 35 percent less Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Nu-Tech Systems improved its energy performance by managing energy strategically across the entire organization and by making cost-effective improvements to its building.

There are six separate units in the building used for general warehousing and distribution. The two largest tenants are Empire Staple, a distributor of construction related materials and Atlantic Heating, a heating and air-conditioning contractor. The building has a total of 13,000 sq. ft.

"Improving the energy efficiency of our nation's buildings is critical to protecting our environment," said Jean Lupinacci, Chief of the ENERGY STAR Commercial & Industrial Branch. "From the boiler room to the board room, organizations are leading the way by making their buildings more efficient and earning EPA's ENERGY STAR certification."

To earn the ENERGY STAR, Nu-Tech Systems emphasized energy conservation as a key first step in their planning. A critical decision when entering the construction phase was using Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF's) in the perimeter walls. "The ICF's when filled with concrete, provide a sustainable, green built, high-energy efficient structure that is strong and aids in noise reduction'" Crawford said.

Crawford recently completed a second-office-warehouse building on Town Center Drive using ICF's and plans to earn the Energy Star Award on that building.

Owners of sustainably managed buildings expect a four percent higher return on investment (ROI), five percent increases in building value and occupancy, eight percent l trash bins ower operating costs, and a one percent rise in rental income, according to a 2010 report released at the Greenbuild Conference by McGraw-Hill Construction, CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) and the University of San Diego's (USD) Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate.

About 79 percent of owners surveyed believe that green helps them attract and retain tenants, which is a competitive advantage during a difficult economy, according to the report. Crawford agrees with the finding. "The Valley Business Center and the new building on Town Center Drive are 100% leased and the energy efficiencies were a key reason," he said.

The report, "Business Benefits of Green Buildings SmartMarket Report," is the second phase of an ongoing study initiated in 2009 by CBRE and USD. It looks at how commercial building owners, managers, tenant firms and occupants perceive benefits of green buildings as well as the benefits that are driving green building growth in the United States.

According to the report, tenant satisfaction also increases after green upgrades, with 94 percent of managers seeing higher satisfaction levels. Eighty-three percent of tenants also believe they have a healthier indoor environment as a result of green efforts.

EPA's ENERGY STAR energy performance scale helps organizations assess how efficiently their buildings use energy relative to similar buildings nationwide. A building that scores a 75 or higher on EPA's 1-100 scale may be eligible for ENERGY STAR certification. Commercial buildings that can earn the ENERGY STAR include offices, bank branches, data centers, financial centers, retail stores, courthouses, hospitals, hotels, K-12 schools, medical offices, supermarkets, dormitories, houses of worship, and 531276856  warehouses.

ENERGY STAR was introduced by EPA in 1992 as a voluntary, market-based partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency.

Today, the ENERGY STAR label can be found on more than 60 different kinds of products as well as new homes and commercial and industrial buildings that meet strict energy-efficiency specifications set by the EPA. Last year alone, Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved $18 billion on their energy bills while reducing the greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those of 34 million vehicles.

"Central America Infrastructure Report Q3 2011" now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 08, 2011 – BMI View: Revised and new historical data for the countries in the region confirm that our previous forecasts have played out correctly. There remains a wide spread in performance between the seven countries that comprise the region - Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. The largest, Costa Rica, is expected to have a construction industry value of US$2.35bn in 2011 compared with Belize - the smallest - with a paltry industry value of US$0.07bn. The disparity between states is only set to grow further with the weakest performers barely changing over the forecast period and at the top, Panama's industry value will more than double by 2015 to US$5.16bn .The new historical data show that Panama has yet to overtake Costa Rica in terms of construction industry value; yet, we maintain that the country will retain significant growth potential and become the largest market in the region by 2013, and then retain this primacy in the following years.

-------------------------------------------------------- ----Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/205386_central_america_infras ... ------------------------------------------------------------

Major regional infrastructure developments include:

*  Guatemala's liberalised electricity distribution market has attracted private interest in many of its assets, making the market the most prolific for energy mergers and acquisitions (M&As) in Central America. Emerging markets-focused infrastructure fund Actis completed the acquisition of two power distribution companies in Guatemala in April 2011. This venture follows the Colombian firm EPM's acquisition of the country's third power distribution company in October 2010. Both ventures corroborate BMI's view - expressed at the time of the EPM acquisition - that, based on macro fundamentals, there is scope for further growth in the market.  *  The transport and public works ministry (MOPT) of Costa Rica is planning to invest CRC250bn (US$503mn) in its national transport programme for 2033. The investment includes CRC77bn (US$154.92mn) for the ex rc helicopter market place pansion of the Canas-Liberia stretch of the Interamericana Norte highway to four lanes, and CRC26.2bn (US$52.71mn) for the 27km Bajos de Chilamate-Vuelta Kooper highway to connect the country's northern region with the Caribbean. The ministry also plans to invest CRC27bn (US$54.32mn) on the paving and repair of the national highway network in 2011 and CRC120bn (US$241.44mn) in the coming three years.  *  Italian energy producer Enel Green Power (EGP) has started construction work on the 50MW Chucas hydropower plant (HPP) located between the provinces of Alajuela and San Jose in Costa Rica. Once fully operational, the plant will generate around 219 gigawatt-hour (GWh) of power to serve the electricity needs of approximately 81,000 households. The project, expected to be completed in mid-2013, will increase the company's installed power capacity in the country to 105MW.  *  Feasibility studies will commence on a new railway project in Honduras, which if implemented will provide a significant source of value for the country's infrastructure sector in the coming years. The railway could also alter the trade dynamics in the country, as it will link the ports of Castilla and Amapala, thus allowing trade to bypass the Panama Canal. The government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UK company K Group Inc. in May 2011, which will see the company carry out technical feasibility studies to determine the cost and economic viability of the project.  *  We expect political risk in Central America to rise over the next 12 months, as electoral uncertainty aggravates existing tensions caused by gaping social divisions and spiralling levels of violence. In terms of electoral violence we believe Guatemala is most at risk, whereas Honduras faces the most serious threat of social upheaval - comparable to the uprisings being witnessed in North Africa.  *  We believe the plateau demonstrated by Panama and Costa Rica at the top of the table highlights the garbage compactor review rising competitiveness of these markets and disparity with the rest of the region. There is fierce competition between states to attract a limited pool of capital and expertise. As a result of increasing openness to foreign direct investment (FDI), we find a plateau of near identical scores in Industry Risks. The implication is that further structural changes to the regulatory, legal or financing environment can present a significant competitive advantage that can make the market that implements them the regional outperformer.
